Choreography of Interdependence

Constructing-Deconstructing
Working virtually I am able to accomplish so much more but it is in the setting of Zoom. When I go out on morning bicycle rides there's an opportunity to see living systems. But I have to take the time to notice, be present, use my senses.

Riding through Jack London Square in Oakland, near the Amtrak Station, I heard men yelling to each other above the street. As I searched for the source I noticed a construction site that was alive with workers moving through the scaffolding.

Stopping to take notice it was clear that they were disassembling the intricate exoskeleton of a newly born building - shedding its cocoon. The men were like tiny organisms coordinating their interdependent system through voice and movement. A practice of trusting communication.

Truth and Trust

Listening to National Public Radio this morning on the way home from yoga, their seasonal fund drive was on the air. The host said

Yes, that resonates with me.

But where?
Friends
Spiritual gatherings
Nature
Social Media channels
School...

...actually, in ourselves is the place to start. We need to be, first and foremost our own source of truth and place of trust.

Namaste.

Balance is a Practice

Eat Pray Love, the book that inspired me to dedicate 2008 to the Year of Amy, 2009 to the Year of Research and Development and 2010 to The Year of Living My Dreams, has touched me again - this time with the movie version.

I still feel like I'm finding balance in and for myself. "Ruin is the road to transformation" and I feel like I'm still on that road. With that, I am learning, that I must love and forgive myself and that "the only way to heal is to trust."

Every day is challenging and sometimes lonely. I hide away and keep to myself, but I am healing and I am learning to trust and to love who I am. Yes, I am in finding balance. Gosh, its been a long time.

Balance is a practice.

Trusting Myself

Yesterday on my way to Yoga, my favorite time to walk and meditate, I had a realization. It was actually a conversation with myself (in my head, not out loud) that was life-changing.

I trust myself
I trust my intuition
I trust my choices
I trust my heart
I trust my physical and emotional strength
I trust my knowledge, skills and capabilities
I trust my flexibility, creativity and courage
I trust that I take care of myself and always land on my feet

Namaste
